Dotti Holmberg-Waddell was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in White
Bear Lake, Minnesota until the age of 17 when she joined a
folk/pop music group
in the 1960's called The GoldeBriars who
performed around
the country for 2-1/2 years and recorded three albums with
Epic-Columbia Records. One of the albums is still unreleased today
due to the break up of the group.
She has written a book about the GoldeBriars called "Whatever
Happened to Jezebel? The GoldeBriars' Epic Years".
Today Dotti lives in Central Florida with her husband Bill,
and their daughter, Kristin.
Dotti started creating "right choice songs" in 1987 and her
first album, "Make the Right Choice" was produced and marketed by Kimbo Educational (Long Branch, New Jersey) and released in 1989.
Her second album ,"Stop & Think" was recorded and released in
1993 by her own group, "The Right Choice Kids". The concept was to
"Stop & Think" and better relate to the important messages of
these songs.
Dotti's "Make the Right Choice" and "Stop & Think" albums are
educationally endorsed by the U.S. Office of Substance Abuse
(Rockville, Maryland) and the National Families in Action
(Atlanta, Georgia) and meet the educational criteria for use by
schools and other organizations.
This year one of our Holiday specials is Dotti's Holiday Magic, a
tap dance for advanced beginners or beginning intermediate tappers.
This is a wonderful uplifting song for the Holiday season. Easy
choreography so your dancers can complete the dance by the
holidays.
Dotti’s aspirations for Apple Core, her company, are to make a
positive difference in the lives of kids with products that have
lasting values, are family-oriented, entertaining and fun to
use.
We think this is exactly what she does!
